Hibiscus Valley in is located between Marigot and Concorde. We are a guesthouse that seeks part time employees in our kitchen. You will be doing the following:
To carry out food preparations using a menu decided for the guesthouse together with the office. Take a big interest in the preparing for the menue to be used and thinking locally, (will change with the season). Make sure that the food is delivered at the right time at the right quantity and at the right quality. Take track on food used and delivered. Make inventory and shopping lists.
Keep up the local food use and local old tradition. Wash dishes the way it is ordered at Hibiscus Valley.
Keep area of work and the whole kitchen clean according to the checklist and manual. Serve breakfast, lunch and drinks. Will be able to check in and also check out if needed.
You should have a genuine interest in food och giving great service. You are here to stay and learn from the more knowledgeable people around you. Furthermore, you should be puntual, self-motivated, trustworthy with a great sense of self-pride. You should want to be in the hospitality industry and contribute to the group spirit. You must be a fast-mover, organized and be able to adapt to stressful situations. It is important that you enjoy meeting new people from all over the world, learning from them but also teaching guest about values and the Dominican culture.
It is a great benefit if you can do housekeeping in combination with your other tasks.
